Wednesday, day 14.
Time for my two week weigh in! I am dragging this morning as I get up at 4:50 am in order to make the 6 am class. I seriously consider hitting the snooze button or, dare I say it, skipping class altogether. Last night I took the 7:00 pm class so there hasn’t been much turn around time. I was really tired in last night’s class and I’m not very excited this morning about more yoga after only five hours of sleep but I know that this is my only time today to get to class. So I stumble out of bed and step onto the scale. I’ve successfully avoided the scale since my first weigh in after week one when I was happy to be down two pounds. Today I instantly feel better when I see that I have lost three more pounds for a total of five pounds in two weeks! Right on target for my goal of losing 10 pounds during the challenge. I feel like my hard work and sacrifice (junk food) is paying off. This gives me the spark I need to make it to class and I feel re-energized and focused all throughout class today. My teacher last night had a great quote: “Yoga doesn’t always give you what you want but it gives you what you need”.
